Stand Children’s Services Tū Māia Whanau, Whangarei

Darrell, Marlene, and the team are proud to announce that Trigg has been awarded the main contractor role to partner with Stand Children’s Services Tū Māia whānau (Stand) to redevelop the Maunu premises. This is a significant project for Stand and the Whangarei and Northland community. The project involves demolishing the existing premises, locally known as the Maunu Health Camp, and constructing four new buildings, two of which will be ‘houses‘ with bedrooms, dining and a lounge. One building will have a large gym, dining hall and kitchen, and the fourth will have learning, office and operational spaces. There is also a new pool and basketball court to construct, and all of the associated drainage and hard and soft landscaping to complete the works. The project is programmed for an 18-month construction period with handover at this stage in the middle of 2025. Darrell says the effort the team put in to get this over the line was immense and a tribute to the skill and ability of the entire team. This project is another community facility that we’re incredibly proud to be involved in, to help the client realise their vision and continue doing the great work they do. Keep an eye out on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for regular updates, and we’ll keep you well informed of progress in our newsletter too.

Ruakaka Rec Centre

The Ruakaka Rec Centre project is all go, with the team hard at work on the exterior and interior of the building. We’re currently installing the outside wall cladding and eaves linings, and the installation of the aluminium joinery is complete. We expect the building to be fully ‘closed in‘ by the end of the year. On the inside, the walls are built, and the ‘first fix’ of plumbing, electrical and air-conditioning ducting, etc., are being installed. The Centre will be a fantastic community facility, proudly built by local tradies. Full credit to the Rec Centre team for getting it over the line, including the construction funds. Trigg is proud to be trusted as the Rec Centre’s construction partner for the delivery. Stay tuned for updates on the push to the finish line next year.
