Trigg Projects In Full Swing

Share This:

We’re thrilled to be back on-site and picking up where we left off before lockdown on projects currently in construction. Recently we completed and handed over to Marsden Maritime Holdings the first group of 12 commercial units at the Aubrey Business Centre, and we’ve started work on the construction of the next 12. Across the road from the Aubrey Business Centre, the Mount Tiger Business centre is also nearing completion. We are also excited to be working with the Ministry of Social Development to upgrade their offices across Northland.

AUBREY BUSINESS CENTRE

The first stage of the Aubrey Business Centre is complete. Comprising 12 x 150m2 units, we handed over the finished building on time and to budget – that’s the Trigg way. We’ve worked with our client, Marsden Maritime Holdings, to bring to life these commercial buildings as a design-build solution. With all 12 units now fully tenanted and the project a success, Marsden Maritime Holdings has commissioned another one right next door, which Team Trigg has already made a start on. The high demand for these buildings is driven by steady residential and commercial growth in the Bream Bay area. It’s no surprise to Darrell and Marlene, who agree it is a fantastic place to live, work and play.

MT TIGER BUSINESS CENTRE

Across the road from the Aubrey Business Centre, the Mount Tiger Business centre is also nearing completion. This building consists of four x 600m2 tenancies, with three of them already under contract. Team Trigg delivered this again in partnership with Marsden Maritime Holdings on a design-build basis. The entire project has gone very well, from concept to construction, and the team expects to complete the building works by the end of September.

MSD SECURITY UPGRADE

Trigg is proud to be part of New Zealand Construction Alliance working with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) to upgrade their offices across Northland to protect their staff and clients better. This project has been a while in the planning stages. However, the first site at Kawakawa is now complete, and Dargaville is nearing completion. MSD offices in Kerikeri, Kaikohe and Kamo are the next to be upgraded by our team.

Are skyrocketing construction costs here to stay?

Clients old and new have been asking us what’s up with skyrocketing construction costs and where we think things will head – up, down or stay much the same. Like you, we don’t have a crystal ball so we can’t see with any certainty where things will go. So, we asked Jeremy Blake, Associate Director – Quantity Surveying at Hampton Jones for his expert opinion. Here’s what he had to say.

Trigg Sports Awards

The Bream Bay Sports Awards were held in the Waipu Celtic Barn – a Trigg construction – on Friday 31 March. Ex-Bream Bay College head girl Laura Adams was the guest speaker on the night. Proud supporters and sponsors of this annual event that celebrates the success and hard work of our local sports people and teams, this is always a highlight on the Trigg social calendar.
