Our Story

Past. Present. Future.

Trigg Construction is a highly skilled, award-winning commercial construction company. Based at Marsden Point in Northland, we operate across the Northland region. Founded in 1993 by Darrell and Marlene Trigg, we started in residential construction before shifting focus to specialise in constructing commercial and industrial buildings. Our large-scale commercial projects include Whangārei’s $30M Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Māori Art Gallery.

Proudly locally owned and operated, we value community and have strong relationships with local suppliers and subcontractors who provide great value, respond quickly and can guarantee the quality of their products and services. Looking to the future, we aim to continue to deliver exceptional construction services to our clients and grow our operation for the benefit of our team, our partners and suppliers, and the wider Northland community.

We’ve developed a whole-of-project, innovative and easy-to-follow construction process based on Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), which supports our clients from the very first meeting, to handover and beyond. Our inclusive and transparent construction methodology involves everyone on the project team every step of the way, enabling full collaboration and an extremely responsive construction process.
