Always a highlight on the local calendar, the Bream Bay Sports Awards are a celebration of local sporting talent, passion and community spirit. Held in the Waipu Celtic Barn, a Trigg project that we’re pretty proud of, we were also proud to again sponsor the Supreme Award on the night which was given to weightlifter Kim Grison. Kim was also awarded the Marsden Metals Masters Sportsperson of the Year. Congratulations Kim, you really are awesome.

Special thanks to Frank Bunce, former All Black and Lui Anderson, former NZ rugby league player for sharing their journeys beyond retirement from professional sport – your stories brought both laughter and reflection in equal measure. We’re honoured to support an event that celebrates the positive impact of sport on both mental and physical wellbeing. Congratulations again to all the nominees and winners. See you next year.
