Project Updates

Team Trigg is busy with a great bunch of projects right now, and future project planning is also progressing well, with a pick-up in inquiries over the last couple of months. The Ruakaka Rec Centre complete and open to the community and our Stand Children’s Services project is full steam ahead. We’re also excited to be on the cusp of starting the Mangawhai Medical Centre, and a wet sanding bay at the Marsden Cove Hardstand.

Ruakaka Rec Centre

The Ruakaka Recreation Centre was officially opened on Saturday 5 October by the Hon. Shane Jones. The occasion was well attended by the community and project stakeholders. We’re super proud of the effort and result achieved by Team Trigg, and the local community have worked hard to make this project happen. The main hall was full of laughter and chat afterwards during the cuppa and kai session. Everyone had a great look around the entire facility and was looking forward to using it. The facility is now in full use with the gyms running and all spaces fully utilised. What a great outcome for the community and a real credit to Andreas and Christine Thirling who spearheaded the build.

Stand Tu Maia Children’s Village

We’re full steam ahead on this project with approximately 50 people on site each day at present. This facility provides a haven for children, and time out to be cared for in a nurturing and positive environment. We have four buildings on the go. The two smaller buildings are the houses for sleeping and relaxing in. The second largest building is a hangout space during the day, with a dining hall and gym. The biggest and main building is an admin area with offices, a boardroom, counselling rooms and other meeting spaces. We’re also installing a new basketball court and pool, and fully landscaping the area. All four buildings have their roof on and services such as electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning are being installed. Handover to the client is on schedule for the middle of 2025.

Marsden Cove Hardstand Wet Blast Bay

We have recently been appointed the preferred ECI partner of Marsden Maritime Holdings to deliver their upgraded wet blast bay in the Hardstand facility at Marsden Cove. Over the last couple of months, we’ve been working with the design team to ensure this facility can be constructed in the most cost-effective way possible. The project is currently in for building consent and we expect to make a start on site early next year.

Mangawhai Medical Centre

The Trigg team have been working with the client to get this important community infrastructure project underway. Now in the final stages of planning what will be a significant build, we expect to be underway on-site in the first quarter of 2025. We’re really looking forward to finally breaking ground.
