Stand Tū Māia Whangārei Opens

What a day to remember. More than 200 people, including Darrell, Marlene and the Trigg team, came together at the end of August to celebrate the opening of Stand Tū Māia’s new Whangārei Centre – a place of healing and hope for tamariki, mokopuna and whānau. In Stand’s own words, it was “a beautiful and emotional celebration filled with aroha and community spirit”.

Here are some images of the completed village.

Stand Tū Māia is a charity committed to providing children and families with a range of social services that include providing therapeutic care and education in children’s villages for children aged 5-12. In 2025, the organisation celebrated some milestones. Since they began in 2013, they’ve helped over 30,000 children and ensured restoration and preservation for over 11,000 whānau. We love what Stand Tu Maia is doing, and we’re proud to be their preferred construction partner. You can learn more about them at standtumaia.nz
