Constructive 2022

Every year, Registered Master Builders Association (RMBA) hosts Constructive – an all-of-industry forum to bring stakeholders together from across the construction sector, including central and local government, suppliers, subcontractors, designers, consultants, clients and builders, to work on the issues facing the sector and collaboratively work up solutions to lift performance across residential and commercial construction. Collaboration is the theme of Constructive – something Trigg is passionate about.

Trigg Team Van

Team Transport a Winner

At Trigg, we believe that our people are key to our success, so, as a business, we like to take care of them and their wellbeing. An example of this is our decision to provide transport for staff. With many of our builders living in Whangarei and working on projects in Marsden Point, about 40 minutes away, we decided to lay on a minibus to get them there and back safely and comfortably.

We are the community

Our local community is a big focus for us and at the heart of everything we do! Outside of his busy construction life, Darrell is the Ruakaka Volunteer Fire Brigade’s Chief Fire Officer.

Meet the team: Ricki Heremaia

Ricki is one of Trigg’s younger apprentices who came to us straight out of school. Ricki brings amazing positivity and an infectious sense of humour to our team.

Project Updates

It’s been another busy quarter for Trigg, which is how we like it. We handed over the 5,000m2 Marsden Bulk Store on schedule at the start of July. We’re also charging along with other projects on the go with three exciting projects in the early stages of planning or moving ahead for consent – the Ruakaka Rec Centre, Anchorage Retirement Village Apartments and a Floating Marina facility.

2022 NZ Commercial Project Awards Wins

We’re proud to share our recent wins at the NZ Commercial Project Awards. Our Hundertwasser Art Centre project was acknowledged twice, with Darrell, Marlene and the team hitting the podium and picking up Gold and Special Awards for 2022.

A once-in-a-lifetime Opportunity

The Hundertwasser Arts Centre (HAC) Wairau Māori Art Gallery is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any construction company. It was certainly a privilege for the team at Registered Master Builders Association company Trigg Construction to be entrusted with the delivery of this amazingly complex project. Managing Director Darrell Trigg explains the concept, where no two windows or doors were built the same and no repeated building patterns allowed, in the April issue of Building Today.

Wish4Fish

Trigg is a proud sponsor of Wish4Fish. This charity helps people with disabilities or mental unwellness to get out on the water and enjoy the freedom and pleasure of our ocean waters – the benefits we know very well, as mad keen boating and fishing folk ourselves.

Hard Conversations

At the end of last year, Business Coach Britta Christiansen and Darrell took part in a Master Builders Elevate webinar titled ‘Hard Conversations’ – or, as Britta prefers, conversations that matter. The webinar looked at how to have difficult but often necessary conversations with clients, staff, subbies and others.
